Last night, Spanish police officers assaulted neighbours who were protesting against police violence
Three hotels in Calella have asked the Spanish police and Guardia Civil to leave their facilities. According to EFE news outlet, the hotels Catalonia, Palmeres and Vila have evicted approximately 500 officers of the Spanish police forces.
Last night, a number of Spanish police officers assaulted locals who were protesting against police violence and repression on voters and people who defended the polling stations. Dozens of people needed medical attention and four were seriously injured.
This morning, the mayor of Calella, Montserrat Candini, explained on Radio Calella that she would have a meeting with the hotel managements for them to discontinue the Spanish police and Guardia Civil officers’ stays.
