Belgian authorities open case against Spain regarding geo-tracker on Puigdemont’s car

Belgian lawyers opened a case this Thursday [April 5th, 2018] against Spain regarding the geo-tracking device which was found in Carles Puigdemont’s car, being used to to follow the president of the Generalitat’s movements in exile. This technology enabled his detention in Germany when he was making his way from Denmark to Belgium, via Germany.

The police officers who accompanied the president complained to the Belgian authorities as soon as they found the device. The tracker was in the car in which Puigdemont used when he returned from a visit to Helsinki.
