The prosecution service in Scotland has confirmed this Saturday that it has received a European Arrest Warrant for Clara Ponsatí, Education Minister of the previous Catalan Government. A spokesman for the prosecutor’s office, the Crown Office, has indicated that they are in receipt of the Euro Order but that it would be “inappropriate” to comment on it any further.
Ponsatí returned to live in St. Andrews, in Scotland, where she is a Professor at the University, at the beginning of this month. She is said to be speaking to lawyers about next steps.
