Six police officers from the National Police appeared this Thursday during a recording of one of the scenes of the “El Intermedio de La Sexta” program, in which humorist Joaquín Reyes was appearing, cast as Carles Puigdemont.

As reported by Vertele, part of Eldiario.es, a resident from Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid), the place where the recording was being made, called the police, stating that President Carles Puigdemont was in the Europa Park part of the town, the place where the program was being recorded.

A few minutes later, the agents responded and arrived at the park looking for Puigdemont, who has an active warrant out for his immediate arrest, by order of the Supreme Court, which is why he is currently exiled in Belgium.

The police agents, upon discovering that it was not Puigdemont, but rather a television parody, left the park and the recording was able to continue as planned.

The sketch will be released in the Zanguangos section of El Intermedio on February 26th. Joaquín Reyes has already given his reaction in an interview with La Sexta and told his account of what the resident called in to the police, and what the police said who came to arrest “Puigdemont”.
