The civil servant in charge of property at the City Council of Calella received a telephone request to appear before the Civil Guard by court order. The official has been asked to respond to queries regarding the bright yellow bow that the municipal government of mayor Montserrat Candini hung outside the town hall for Christmas. As reported by the Councillor in charge of utilities of Calella, Albert Torrent, on local radio, “the Civil Guard is investigating this issue, under orders from a judge” and the reason given is a possible “fraudulent use of electric power, because the use of electricity for such things is intended for Christmas lights, and a yellow ribbon does not represent Christmas”. The councilor continued, asserting that he was certain this case would be archived, before it went any further.
