Unknown shooters fired gunshots at the balcony of a CUP (Popular Unity Candidacy) supporter, on Friday February 7th, said the CUP in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda. The supporter, a woman, had hung an “estelada” [Catalan pro-independence flag] from her balcony, according to the pro-independence party, who denounced the violence. In a tweet, the CUP denounced the occurrence as a crime of hatred: “Today [February 7] our people suffered an act of hate against one of our own, for the mere fact of hanging an estelada from a balcony. We denounce these facts”.

This attack is added to others that have taken place in recent months in Catalonia. The last case, reported against the Mossos d’Esquadra, was registered in the Barcelona neighborhood of La Verneda, as reported ‘El Mundo’.
