The Office of the Public Prosecutor of Barcelona has set a date to take statements from the faculty of the Palau Sant Andreu de la Barca high school in Baix Llobregat for their alleged contemptuous comments in class regarding the police violence of October 1. Several families in the school denounced the treatment students who are children of Guardia Civil (Civil Guards) officers. The Office of the Public Prosecutor’s Department of Hate Crimes called in these teachers with regards to ongoing investigations to clarify whether the comments, made on October 2nd, may constitute a criminal offense. They are scheduled to make statements in court during the first week of January, from the 4th to 10th January.
